Hi there,
I’m Sarah.
“You can’t rush your healing; darkness has its teachings.”
I’ve known for a long time that one of my purposes in life was to help people.
I experienced multiple traumatic events before the age of 18. Like many people I work with, it wasn’t until I got older that I realized “wow, that was kind of f’d up!”
A lot of therapy helped me by giving me skills, but it took a while before I was able to get underneath, to the dark, yucky stuff… this profound sense of shame, loneliness, the “I’m only worthy if x, y, or z.” I felt like an alien.
Now that I have dove deep into those waters, I’ve realized the power of self-compassion and connection.
Psychology is truly a special interest of mine, especially the future of psychedelic-assisted therapies.
Outside of that, I enjoy hanging out with my high energy pup, hitting up the thrift shop with an iced coffee in hand, hiking, reading (James Baldwin is one of my favs), and writing. My favorite TV show is Dragula (love spooky stuff!)
I’m also a yoga novice & a lover of many genres of music — ie: pop punk, post-hardcore, rap, EDM, 90’s & early 2000’s rock/alternative, etcetera, etcetera.
